Crafty Trade Show Haul with Letterpress and Gilding Flakes

Hello crafters! I usually don’t do haul videos (because they tend to run rather long, for some reason), but I think I can do a short version with this one. For the first time, ever, I attended a crafting trade show close to where I live. A fellow crafter invited me to come along and I was happy that I did. My bank account – not so much.

Believe it or not, I actually thought I wouldn’t be spending any money. I assumed that since that was a German trade show, none of the shops would have anything of interest to me. Turns out, I was not only wrong on about that, but (uncharacteristically for Germany) some of the stores there also accepted card payment. I was doomed.

As you can see in the video, I fell for the WRMK/Lifestyle Crafts Letterpress which I bought from the German store Memories4you. I had been eyeing it for some time, and my crafty friend SonjaK had been raving about it our conversations. So, when it was offered at 15€ off, and the supplies were at half the price, I couldn’t say no.

Also, I grabbed some magnetic sheets by Crafter’s Companion. I think they are supposed to go into a special folder to store your dies, but they can be cut with a scissor (like butter) and so I cut them apart to prevent the dies in my storage pockets from falling out or tumbling around.

The Austrian shop Stempelwunderwelt was also present; I had ordered from them before because they seem the be the only store on the European main continent that has Gilding Flakes (at least the only one that I could find). Since they were there, I stocked up on yet another color of Gilding Flakes, the special glitter glue and a foam pad to apply the glue (and let me tell you, it works perfectly!).

I also won €50 gift certificate to their online store – that was a huge surprise and I can’t wait to spend it. Shuffling stuff in and out of my shopping basket right now Image may be NSFW.

I also discovered yet another German store from Berlin called Stempelbar that, in addition to selling well known brands, makes their own red rubber stamps. I am doomed. They are so very cute and they have a whole line of monsters. Even though I didn’t buy anything from them, I definitely put them on my to-watch list so I can grab some more stuff from them as soon as my budget allows it Image may be NSFW.

That’s it for now. Stay tuned to see a card I made with the Letterpress and the Gilding Flakes – the video is going up in the next few days (after the card has arrived at it’s destination Image may be NSFW.

Thanks for stopping by and see you again soon!
